Are there any fees associated with operating a company after the initial registration?

When registering your company, you will have to pay an initial registration fee to ASIC.

However, many people don’t realise that for each year that their company is active, they will also have to pay ASIC an annual fee. Each year, ASIC will send through a document which is an annual review of your company’s details.

Your review date is usually the anniversary of your company’s registration. ASIC will send you an annual statement for you to review along with an invoice for the annual fee. Currently, this fee is set at $329 for most proprietary companies. Failure to pay this fee by the due date may result in a late fee ranging from $98 to $411. You can read more about this fee here.
